Summary Evaluation

This report assesses the usefulness of the EUREAPA tool for policy makers in terms of, firstly, its capability in integrating the Footprint Family of indicators and a multi-regional input-output (MRIO) model of the global economy; and secondly, its usefulness for policy makers in the policy cycle and across relevant policy areas.

Summary Evaluation: EUREAPA as a tool for informing policy decisions on the basis of the Footprint Family of indicators

The report examines relevant policies, instruments and targets in the areas of Agriculture, Biodiversity and fisheries, Climate change and energy, Raw materials, Regional development (cohesion policy), Sustainable consumption and production, Transport, and Water and explores the extent to which the EUREAPA tool can inform policy decisions in these areas.

The report provides a practical example of how to use the EUREAPA tool, presenting screen shots of the tool, and it identifies the limitations and opportunities for further development of the Footprint Family and the EUREAPA tool.
